San Pedro Garza García's public safety agency trains 750 officers on APEX patrol and motorcycle simulators: 1,500 hours and an 18% lower accident rate.
The Ministry of Public Safety of San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, runs a comprehensive police driving program on APEX simulators: patrol vehicle and motorcycle in the same academy, so every officer trains on the vehicle they actually operate on the street.
Patrol and motorcycle, one standard
Patrol officers practice pursuits, defensive driving, and emergency response; motorcycle officers train balance, braking, and riding through traffic on a motorcycle simulator with real lean. In both, telemetry records every maneuver and the instructor evaluates it with data.

San Pedro rounds out the program with a virtual firearms training simulator for use-of-force decisions, and also administers its driver's license testing on simulators — making it one of the municipalities that has done the most to professionalize police training in Mexico.
