Forklift simulator

The APEX forklift simulator trains and evaluates forklift operators in plants, distribution centers, and warehouses with real controls, load physics per forklift type, and automatic per-operator scoring.

A forklift in an aisle full of people is one of the most underestimated risks in any operation: accidents cost injuries, merchandise, and line stoppages. In the simulator, operators train narrow-aisle maneuvers, high stacking, and coexistence with pedestrians without putting anyone at risk — and mistakes get corrected before they climb onto the real equipment.

PepsiCo certifies the forklift operators at its distribution centers with APEX simulators, and operations like Grupo Bimbo, Grupo Modelo, Alpura, Bepensa, and Nissan's corporate university train on our forklift equipment across the country.

State of the Art Technology

Real controls, real load physics

Industrial force-feedback steering and controls per forklift type: it feels like the real equipment.

Operator station of the APEX forklift simulator with real controls

Total-immersion cab

An enclosed operator station on a 3-degree-of-freedom platform that moves the ENTIRE cab, not just the seat: the operator feels the load, the mast height, and the equipment's behavior on ramps.
Wraparound field of view of the APEX forklift simulator

True-to-life field of view

Wraparound projection with a full horizon and active mirrors: the operator keeps the peripheral vision that maneuvering between racks, pedestrians, and other equipment demands.
Interactive training classroom with the APEX forklift simulator

Interactive training classroom

The whole shift follows the session on screen while one person operates: every mistake is analyzed as a group, and the instructor turns practice into a safety lesson.
Multi-user control station of the APEX forklift simulator

Multi-user control station

The instructor operates a second forklift inside the same scenario and interacts with the operator; several networked simulators train the real-life coexistence of an aisle with multiple forklifts.
Telemetry and certification

Every maneuver, measured per operator

Speed, braking, maneuvers, violations, and operating errors for every forklift operator, in real time. Everything is stored in the cloud with no possibility of editing and validated by fingerprint: solid evidence for internal certification and safety audits.

APEX per-operator telemetry report: performance, errors, and session progress
The software

Simulation software and the cloud

The simulator is only half the story: the software recreates the real accidents from your operation, measures every session, and delivers the results in the cloud.

Simulation of a real accident recreated in the APEX forklift simulator

Real-accident simulation

We recreate the accidents that already happened in your warehouse — same aisle, same maneuver, same load — so operators can face them without risking product or people.
APEX forklift simulator software configured to the client's operation

Customizable software

Scenarios configurable to your plant or distribution center layout: rack height, aisle width, load type, and the equipment you actually operate.
APEX cloud dashboard with reports from every simulator

Cloud dashboards

Reports from all your simulators, centralized in the cloud: accessible from any device, in real time.
Real-time telemetry from the APEX forklift simulator during an exercise

Real-time telemetry

Speed, braking, maneuvers, violations, and operating errors measured live: every move the operator makes is logged instantly.

Frequently asked questions

What plants and DCs ask us

The questions we hear most from plants, distribution centers, and corporate universities.

What is a forklift simulator, and what is it for?

It's a professional system with the complete operator station of a forklift — an industrial force-feedback steering wheel, joysticks per equipment type, pedals, and a smart seatbelt — on a 3-degree-of-freedom motion platform. It's used to train new hires, recertify operators, and evaluate operating habits without risking people, product, or equipment.

Which companies train forklift operators with simulators in Mexico?

Plants, distribution centers, and corporate universities certify their forklift operators with APEX simulators — PepsiCo does it at its distribution centers. In transportation and logistics: Coca-Cola FEMSA, PepsiCo, Grupo Bimbo, Barcel, Bachoco, Arca Continental, Grupo Modelo, Danone, Alpura, Grupo Lala, Bepensa, Estafeta, Coppel, Liverpool, Soriana, OXXO, and PEMEX, along with federal motor carriers Tres Guerras, Fletes México, HG Transportaciones, and TUM. In public transit: Mexico City's RTP passenger bus network — which acquired the country's first electric bus simulator — and state training programs in Jalisco, Sonora, San Luis Potosí, and Campeche. In driver's license testing: the Government of the State of Guanajuato — the largest program in the country, with more than 300,000 exams administered —, the state Ministry of Mobility of Jalisco, Nayarit, and San Pedro Garza García. In public safety and defense: Jalisco's Ministry of Public Security, the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office, and the municipalities of Puebla, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Escobedo, and San Pedro Garza García.

How much does it reduce warehouse accidents and damage?

In machinery operations, the typical range is 15% to 50% fewer accidents, a 15% to 30% reduction in maintenance cost, and up to 20-30% more training productivity, because operators practice without taking real equipment offline or occupying working aisles. Damage to racks, product, and dock doors during the learning curve is the first thing to disappear.

Does it simulate different types of forklifts?

Yes. The controls are configured per forklift type — counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack — and the simulation physics change with the load, the mast height, and the surface, so the operator feels the real behavior of each piece of equipment. The evaluation adjusts to the equipment types your operation uses.

How is each operator's training documented?

Every session is logged with automatic per-operator scoring — violations, maneuvering errors, and operating habits — validated by biometric fingerprint sign-in and stored in the cloud with no possibility of editing. With that, the company can prove with data who is trained, how many hours they've logged, and at what performance level — solid backing for internal and industrial-safety audits.

What does support and maintenance include?

An annual service plan with preventive and corrective maintenance, remote and on-site support, software updates, and spare parts, with our own technicians in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and the Bajío region. We are manufacturers with our own operation in Mexico: spare parts and service never depend on an overseas vendor.

How is the APEX forklift simulator different from other simulators?

On the hardware side: an enclosed operator station on a 3-degree-of-freedom platform that moves the entire cab — not just the seat — with an industrial force-feedback steering wheel and controls configurable per forklift type; plus a control station where the instructor operates a second forklift inside the same session. On the software side: fingerprint identification and tamper-proof cloud results. And on top of all that, the largest after-sales support operation in Mexico.

What's included when you buy an APEX simulator?

Delivery is turnkey: APEX installs the equipment, calibrates it, and trains your instructors — it's up and running from day one, with no integrators or third parties. It includes the equipment warranty and access to APEX Drive+, the app where support tickets are filed and service history is kept. Once the warranty ends, the annual maintenance plan covers preventive and corrective service and every spare part, with technician travel and expenses included.

What makes APEX after-sales support different from other simulator vendors?

Most vendors sell the equipment with limited coverage: spare parts are quoted separately, technician travel and expenses are billed on top, damage from misuse isn't covered, and service depends on a distributor or an overseas manufacturer. The APEX service plan includes every spare part in the simulator, technician travel and expenses, and coverage even against equipment misuse. Everything is tracked in APEX Drive+, and service is delivered by our own technicians in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and the Bajío region.
