Patrol simulator

The APEX patrol simulator trains police forces in tactical driving: code response, pursuit, evasive maneuvers, and high-risk intersections, with every maneuver measured by telemetry.

Driving is one of the leading causes of officer injuries and vehicle losses in police departments: responding to an emergency through real traffic allows no rehearsal. In the simulator, officers clear intersections running code, control skids, and practice pursuits as many times as it takes — without putting anyone at risk.

Police academies and agencies across Mexico train on APEX equipment: Jalisco's Ministry of Public Security, the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office, San Pedro Garza García, and the municipalities of Querétaro, Guadalajara, Puebla, and Escobedo.

Tactical driver training

From code response to evasive maneuvers: the full patrol experience, without leaving the academy.

Cab of the APEX patrol simulator with radio, light bar, and real controls

Total-immersion cab

A patrol cab, fully enclosed and roofed — not open like the rest — on a system that moves the ENTIRE cab, not just the seat: the officer feels braking, cornering, and skidding like in a real pursuit.
Wraparound field of view of the APEX patrol simulator

True-to-life field of view

Wraparound projection with a full horizon and active mirrors: the officer keeps the peripheral vision that driving code through city traffic demands.
Interactive training classroom with the APEX patrol simulator

Interactive training classroom

The academy follows the session on screen while one cadet drives: every mistake is analyzed as a group, and the instructor turns practice into a lesson.
Multi-user control station of the APEX patrol simulator

Multi-user control station

The instructor drives another vehicle inside the same scenario and interacts with the officer; several networked simulators train pursuits and coordinated multi-unit operations.
Per-officer evaluation

Every session, measured per officer

Speed, braking, light-bar use, response time, and safety errors for every officer, in real time. Everything is stored in the cloud with no possibility of editing and validated by fingerprint: the department audits who trained, how much, and with what result.

APEX per-officer telemetry report: performance, errors, and session progress
The software

Simulation software and the cloud

The simulator is only half the story: the software recreates the real accidents from your operation, measures every session, and delivers the results in the cloud.

Simulation of a real accident recreated in the APEX patrol simulator

Real-accident simulation

We recreate the incidents that already happened in your department — same maneuver, same intersection, same conditions — so officers can face them without risking the unit.
APEX patrol simulator software configured to the client's operation

Customizable software

Scenarios configurable to your city and your protocols: road types, traffic levels, and the response procedures your department defines.
APEX cloud dashboard with reports from every simulator

Cloud dashboards

Reports from all your simulators, centralized in the cloud: accessible from any device, in real time.
Real-time telemetry from the APEX patrol simulator during an exercise

Real-time telemetry

Speed, braking, light-bar use, response time, and safety errors measured live: every decision the officer makes is logged instantly.

Frequently asked questions

What agencies ask us

The questions we hear most from academies, prosecutors' offices, and public security ministries.

What is a police patrol simulator, and what does it train?

It's a professional system with a fully equipped patrol cab — steering wheel, radio, light bar, siren —, wraparound projection, and tactical scenario software. It trains code-response driving, pursuit, evasive maneuvers, skid control, and high-risk intersections: the maneuvers that cost departments the most vehicles and injuries and that can't be rehearsed in live traffic. Every session is measured by telemetry.

Which law enforcement agencies use patrol simulators in Mexico?

Police academies and agencies across the country train tactical driving on APEX simulators. In public safety and defense: Jalisco's Ministry of Public Security, the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office, and the municipalities of Puebla, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Escobedo, and San Pedro Garza García. In driver's license testing: the Government of the State of Guanajuato — the largest program in the country, with more than 300,000 exams administered —, the state Ministry of Mobility of Jalisco, Nayarit, and San Pedro Garza García. In public transit: Mexico City's RTP passenger bus network — which acquired the country's first electric bus simulator — and state training programs in Jalisco, Sonora, San Luis Potosí, and Campeche. In transportation and logistics: Coca-Cola FEMSA, PepsiCo, Grupo Bimbo, Barcel, Bachoco, Arca Continental, Grupo Modelo, Danone, Alpura, Grupo Lala, Bepensa, Estafeta, Coppel, Liverpool, Soriana, OXXO, and PEMEX, along with federal motor carriers Tres Guerras, Fletes México, HG Transportaciones, and TUM.

Why train police driving in a simulator?

Because code response is among the most dangerous maneuvers of the job: crossing an intersection against a red light with the siren on doesn't guarantee traffic will yield, and one mistake costs the unit, the officer, or a bystander. In the simulator those decisions are practiced hundreds of times without risk, and telemetry shows exactly what an expert driver would do differently in the same situation.

Does it integrate into an academy's curriculum?

Yes. The simulator integrates as a module of the training program with progressive scenarios by level, standardized evaluation, and a progress record per cadet. Biometric sign-in guarantees every training hour belongs to the person who completed it, and results stay in the cloud for department audits: there's no way to credit hours that never happened.

What does support and maintenance include?

An annual service plan with preventive and corrective maintenance, remote and on-site support, software updates, and spare parts, with our own technicians in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and the Bajío region. We are manufacturers with our own operation in Mexico and more than ten years serving agencies and governments across the country.

How is the APEX patrol simulator different from other simulators?

On the hardware side, three things other simulators don't offer: the cab is total-immersion — fully enclosed and roofed, while the rest of the market uses open cabs —; the motion system moves the entire cab, not just the seat, so braking and skidding are felt through the whole body; and the control station lets the instructor drive another networked vehicle in the same session — indispensable for pursuit training. On the software side: fingerprint identification and tamper-proof cloud results. And on top of all that, the largest after-sales support operation in Mexico.

What's included when you buy an APEX simulator?

Delivery is turnkey: APEX installs the equipment, calibrates it, and trains your instructors — it's up and running from day one, with no integrators or third parties. It includes the equipment warranty and access to APEX Drive+, the app where support tickets are filed and service history is kept. Once the warranty ends, the annual maintenance plan covers preventive and corrective service and every spare part, with technician travel and expenses included.

What makes APEX after-sales support different from other simulator vendors?

Most vendors sell the equipment with limited coverage: spare parts are quoted separately, technician travel and expenses are billed on top, damage from misuse isn't covered, and service depends on a distributor or an overseas manufacturer. The APEX service plan includes every spare part in the simulator, technician travel and expenses, and coverage even against equipment misuse. Everything is tracked in APEX Drive+, and service is delivered by our own technicians in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and the Bajío region.
