The APEX car driving simulator is a professional driver training and evaluation system: a real car cab, immersive wraparound projection, and software that measures every maneuver.

Its main use in Mexico is driver's license testing: the Government of the State of Guanajuato has been testing with APEX simulators for 10 years, with more than 300,000 exams administered and 75,000 hours logged — the largest program in the country, joined by Jalisco, Nayarit, and San Pedro Garza García.

The same equipment serves driving schools that professionalize their student training, and companies that evaluate the drivers of their light-vehicle fleet — without exposing vehicles or people.

Total-immersion cab

A real car cab, fully enclosed and roofed — not open like the rest — on a system that moves the ENTIRE cab, not just the seat: the applicant feels braking, cornering, and skidding just like behind the wheel.
Certification and license-issuing center with APEX simulators

Certification and licensing centers

The equipment integrates into certification centers and state and federal license-issuing offices: applicants take their exam on site and the result goes straight into their case file.
Wraparound field of view with active mirrors in the APEX car driving simulator

True-to-life field of view

Wraparound projection with a full horizon and active mirrors: the applicant keeps peripheral vision and handles intersections, merges, and parking with real visual references.
Real car controls in the APEX simulator cab

100% realistic components

Force-feedback steering wheel, pedals with real resistance, manual or automatic shifter, digital dashboard, touchscreen systems, and a fingerprint sensor.
Multi-user control station of the APEX car driving simulator

Multi-user control station

The examiner drives a second vehicle inside the same scenario and interacts with the applicant; several networked simulators allow parallel exams from a single station.
APEX team installing and delivering a car driving simulator at the client's office

Turnkey delivery

APEX delivers, installs, calibrates, and trains your examiners: the testing station is up and running from day one — no integrators, no third parties.
Exam results

A result that can't be corrupted

Speed, mirrors, turn signals, lane position, and compliance with traffic rules are measured automatically: the score comes from the session data, not the examiner's judgment. Every exam is stored in the cloud, tied by fingerprint to the person who took it, with no possibility of editing — auditable evidence for the process, not a signature on a piece of paper.

Real-accident simulation

We recreate your city's most frequent crashes — same maneuver, same intersection, same conditions — so drivers can face them risk-free, as many times as it takes.
APEX simulator software configured with local scenarios and traffic rules

Customizable software

Scenarios and traffic rules configurable to your state or municipality: local signage, speed limits, and the scoring criteria the authority defines.
Rain and low-visibility scenario in the APEX car driving simulator

Risk scenarios

Rain, fog, night driving, pedestrians crossing, cyclists, and emergency stops: situations a road test could never stage, applied to everyone equally.
APEX cloud dashboard with results from every testing station

Cloud dashboards

Results from all your testing stations, centralized in the cloud: accessible from any device, in real time.
Automatic telemetry-based scoring in the APEX car driving simulator

Automatic scoring

Speed, mirrors, turn signals, lane position, and compliance with traffic rules: the score comes from the session data, not the examiner's impression.
Tamper-proof results logged in the APEX software cloud

Tamper-proof results

Every exam is stored in the cloud with no possibility of editing: the evidence stands up to audits and removes discretion from the process.
License exam with risk situations administered in the APEX simulator

A rigorous exam under risk conditions

The exam goes beyond just driving around: the applicant faces emergency stops, pedestrians crossing, rain, and night driving — situations that would be dangerous on the street and that here determine whether they're ready to drive.

Frequently asked questions

What governments ask us

The questions we hear most from mobility ministries, municipalities, and driving schools.

What is a professional car driving simulator, and how is it different from a video game?

A video game is played with a plastic wheel; a professional simulator evaluates. The difference comes down to three things: the cab is a real car cab — fully enclosed and roofed, total immersion — with an original steering wheel, pedals, shifter, and dashboard; the motion system moves the ENTIRE cab and not just the seat, so braking, cornering, and skidding are felt through the body and the applicant reacts as they would behind the wheel; and scoring is automatic: the software measures the driver's real skill — speed, mirrors, turn signals, lane position, and compliance with traffic rules — and issues a result that doesn't depend on the examiner's judgment.

Can it be used to administer the driver's license exam?

Yes. Guanajuato has done it for 10 years: more than 300,000 practical exams administered on APEX simulators. The simulator exam evaluates every applicant with the same scenarios — including risk situations that can't be recreated with a real vehicle — and the result is determined by telemetry, not an examiner's impression.

Who uses APEX car simulators in Mexico?

The main use is the practical license exam, and the same equipment serves driving schools and companies that evaluate their light-vehicle fleets. In driver's license testing: the Government of the State of Guanajuato — the largest program in the country, with more than 300,000 exams administered —, the state Ministry of Mobility of Jalisco, Nayarit, and San Pedro Garza García. In public transit: Mexico City's RTP passenger bus network — which acquired the country's first electric bus simulator — and state training programs in Jalisco, Sonora, San Luis Potosí, and Campeche. In transportation and logistics: Coca-Cola FEMSA, PepsiCo, Grupo Bimbo, Barcel, Bachoco, Arca Continental, Grupo Modelo, Danone, Alpura, Grupo Lala, Bepensa, Estafeta, Coppel, Liverpool, Soriana, OXXO, and PEMEX, along with federal motor carriers Tres Guerras, Fletes México, HG Transportaciones, and TUM. In public safety and defense: Jalisco's Ministry of Public Security, the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office, and the municipalities of Puebla, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Escobedo, and San Pedro Garza García.

What does the simulator measure during a session?

Telemetry logs braking, acceleration, speed, mirror and turn-signal use, lane position, and safety errors, maneuver by maneuver. Everything is stored in the cloud, tamper-proof and attributed by fingerprint to the right person, with per-student or per-applicant reports ready for the school, the company, or the authority.

Can it be customized with my school's or institution's branding?

Yes. The cab is wrapped with your identity, and the software scenarios are configured to your training program or the applicable traffic rules. The simulator also becomes a visible asset at fairs, licensing offices, and road-safety education campaigns.

How is the APEX car simulator different from other simulators?

On the hardware side, three things other simulators don't offer: the cab is total-immersion — fully enclosed and roofed, while the rest of the market uses open cabs —; the motion system moves the entire cab, not just the seat, so braking, cornering, and skidding are felt through the whole body; and the control station lets the examiner drive another networked vehicle inside the same session. On the software side: fingerprint identification and tamper-proof cloud results — the guarantee that the exam can't be fixed. And on top of all that, the largest after-sales support operation in Mexico.

What's included when you buy an APEX simulator?

Delivery is turnkey: APEX installs the equipment, calibrates it, and trains your examiners or instructors — it's up and running from day one, with no integrators or third parties. It includes the equipment warranty and access to APEX Drive+, the app where support tickets are filed and service history is kept. Once the warranty ends, the annual maintenance plan covers preventive and corrective service and every spare part, with technician travel and expenses included.

What makes APEX after-sales support different from other simulator vendors?

Most vendors sell the equipment with limited coverage: spare parts are quoted separately, technician travel and expenses are billed on top, damage from misuse isn't covered, and service depends on a distributor or an overseas manufacturer. The APEX service plan includes every spare part in the simulator, technician travel and expenses, and coverage even against misuse. Everything is tracked in APEX Drive+, and service is delivered by our own technicians in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and the Bajío region — that's why Guanajuato's units have been running for a decade.
