JALISCO TO DEPLOY DRIVING SIMULATORS FOR DRIVING TESTS

The Government of the State of Jalisco has adopted simulators for its driving test.

With the simulator it is possible to:

  • Evaluate driving skills and knowledge of traffic regulations.
  • Measure reaction times to risk situations.
  • Build awareness about speeding, alcohol consumption and cell phone use.
  • Generate a tamper-proof, automatically approved result in PDF.
  • Analyze results from a centralized system with biometric identification.

The state Ministry of Transportation drives policies, standards, guidelines and procedures for identifying the components of mobility, connecting them, reorganizing routes, creating more car-free zones and introducing mobility plans — an additional tool to encourage travel by alternative modes of transportation, shaping mobility from the urban planning stage.

  • Proposes comprehensive non-motorized mobility plans.
  • Actions will be promoted with full respect for the environment.
  • Diversified mobility options will be developed.

Initially the project covers the central offices in Guadalajara, Jalisco. With strong results, we expect it to be replicated across the more than 30 license-issuing offices operated by the state's Ministry of Transportation.
