As part of the modernization of public transit in the state capital, Campeche has acquired a specialized driving simulator to train its bus drivers. The acquisition was carried out in collaboration with Yutong, one of the world's leading bus manufacturers, and is being implemented by ARTEC, the State of Campeche's Transit Regulatory Agency, in preparation for the upcoming launch of new passenger units in the city.

The simulator will let drivers get familiar with the new Yutong buses before they hit the streets, guaranteeing an efficient, safe transition to more modern, sustainable mobility. With state-of-the-art technology, the equipment delivers a realistic experience that improves road safety and driving efficiency.
Key benefits of simulator-based driver training include:
- Lower training risk — drivers practice in a safe environment, without exposing people or vehicles to potential accidents while they learn.
- Familiarity with the new units — the simulator precisely replicates the controls and behavior of the Yutong buses, enabling a faster, more effective transition to live operation.
- Training across scenarios and conditions — adverse conditions such as rain, dense traffic, or mechanical failures can be simulated, preparing drivers to react correctly to any situation.
- Optimized fuel use and less wear — better driving habits promote more efficient fuel consumption and less wear on bus components.
- Continuous performance evaluation — the simulator provides real-time metrics and performance analysis, allowing errors to be corrected and driving techniques refined for each individual.

This initiative not only strengthens drivers' skills — it also reinforces the State of Campeche's commitment to innovation and safety in public transit. As the new Yutong units begin operating, citizens will enjoy higher-quality service, backed by better-prepared, better-trained drivers.
With this step, Campeche positions itself at the forefront of driver training, betting on advanced simulation technology to improve mobility and safety for all its residents.
The implementation of this simulator marks a milestone in driver training in Campeche. With this technology, we guarantee that drivers acquire the skills they need to operate the new units efficiently and safely.
