With an 86-year track record in Mexican trucking, Autotransportes de Carga Tresguerras set out 75 years ago to become the best freight and parcel company in the country — a goal it has always pursued holistically, with Driver Training as a core pillar.
As part of that long-standing commitment, Tresguerras added an APEX simulator to power the curriculum of Universidad Corporativa Tresguerras, which began operating 2 years ago.
Within our university, the first faculty was the driver faculty. This simulator will support training plans both for the more than 2,300 drivers already on our roster and for those joining us.

With this simulator, we are working on 3 main fronts: improving fuel economy, promoting road safety and streamlining the onboarding of incoming personnel.

It comprises a simulation cab, an instructor station and an observer station where trainee performance can be monitored.
The simulator can reproduce the vehicle configurations Autotransportes de Carga Tresguerras operates, so drivers can train on any of them — the Kenworth T680 with X15 and ISX engines, Freightliner New Cascadia DD15 with DT12 transmission, International ProStar, Volvo VNL, Hino, Isuzu and last-mile units.
It can create 120 combinations of route scenarios and real-world conditions, mirroring what drivers face in the operation across the different regions where Tresguerras operates.

Evaluations can be accessed in real time from headquarters, and biometric (fingerprint) sign-in prevents identity fraud by trainees and instructors.
