Coca-Cola Guatemala joins the APEX family with its own truck driving simulator

Coca-Cola FEMSA, Coca-Cola ABASA and Coca-Cola Los Volcanes acquired a mobile simulation training unit to improve the safety and productivity of their freight drivers with state-of-the-art technology.

Aiming to improve their operating processes, the Coca-Cola group bottlers — Coca-Cola FEMSA, Coca-Cola ABASA and Coca-Cola Los Volcanes — acquired a mobile simulation training unit to improve the safety and productivity of their freight drivers, promoting a culture of incident prevention through road safety and efficiency practices built on state-of-the-art technology.

VIRTUAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES FOR DRIVERS

Coca-Cola Guatemala and APEX will work together to design new training activities for specific transportation tasks, such as safety protocols on frequently used routes. Combining Coca-Cola Guatemala's deep training expertise with APEX's experience in virtual training for the trucking industry, they will create new exercises, plans, activities and training content built to improve the safety, efficiency and productivity of large fleets.

We are committed to promoting a road safety culture that improves the well-being of our employees, partners, contractors, their families and their communities.

A HIGH-LEVEL PROJECT TO IMPROVE RESULTS

Throughout 2023, the simulator will visit the Coca-Cola System's 29 distribution centers across the country's 22 departments, developing preventive driving skills and reducing accident risk through high-immersion simulation sessions.

It is precisely in road safety awareness where the simulator delivers unique advantages that elevate training quality. Only a simulator makes it possible to safely practice dangerous maneuvers that would be impossible to attempt in a real vehicle without ending in an accident.

Implementing innovative solutions is aligned with our goal of zero incidents at our work centers and in the areas where we distribute. The simulator lets us strengthen driving skills and run different scenarios that prepare our drivers for a safe route.
