GRUPO VENCEDOR ACQUIRES AN APEX PASSENGER TRANSPORT SIMULATOR

Aiming to reduce accidents and improve fuel economy, Grupo Vencedor acquired a Simestruck Platinum passenger transport simulator from APEX.

It will be used to develop new drivers and to train experienced ones, with courses of at least 40 hours per year that use the simulator to train for risk situations and risk factors.

Grupo Vencedor operates more than 800 buses across multiple business lines — employee shuttles, intercity coach service, and public transit — in the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

With the COVID-19 contingency driving down ridership, the company needed to cut operating costs and improve its training process.

The biggest advantage of simulation is training focused on risk situations and risk factors that would be impossible to recreate in real life. That lets companies save on accidents, fuel, and training.

Grupo Vencedor had already seen strong results with the simulator at the San Luis Potosí State Job Training Institute (ICAT), but with its training demand growing, the company decided to open a center of its own.
